Panic doors are designed to ensure fast, safe and obstruction-free opening during emergency evacuation in crowded areas. Equipped with a panic bar (push bar), they can be opened from the inside with a single touch and are generally lockable from the outside with a key.
In KFV panic mortise locks, latch and deadbolt systems, and multipoint locks, the escape direction and DIN handing can be easily defined via latch adjustment. Depending on the panic function, the escape direction can be changed in just a few simple steps, allowing one single product to cover all escape and opening directions.
For single- and double-leaf doors, the emergency exit functions of our multipoint locks are based on the same main lock families, and all additional locks share identical dimensions.
Even when locked, the door can always be opened in the escape direction without a key.
